Terms & Conditions
Half Moon Bay Limited (HMB) conducts business on its own terms and conditions. Any attempt to exclude these or vary them by a customer without written agreed consent by HMB shall be void and have no effect.
Placing an order with HMB does not constitute acceptance of that order by HMB. HMB may make part deliveries, giving prior notice when possible.
Orders and Carriage:
The minimum order is £150 (excluding VAT) and also qualify for carriage paid within the mainland UK.
Back orders below £150 will not be shipped. For back orders below £150, we will contact the customer about increasing the order value. These orders will not incur a carriage charge.
For delivery to the Channel Islands and Eire, the minimum carriage paid and in stock order is £300 for the first order and £400 for subsequent orders for in stock items only. Orders under this amount shall pay 7% of the order value.
For approved credit account customers, payment terms are strictly 30 days from the date of invoice. Otherwise a proforma payment will be required.
Credit and debit cards:
All major credit and debit cards are accepted (with the exception of American Express). When using the HMB website, no credit card details are required. We will contact you when the order is ready to ship detailing the amount to be paid.
Credit card payment may be used by credit account customers to settle outstanding invoices. However if payment is made after the 30 days due date, HMB reserve the right to apply a charge of 1.5% of net invoice value to cover our processing charge.
HMB reserve the right to charge interest on late payments in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act of 1998, as amended by the Late Payment of Commercial Debts Regulation 2003.
Damages, shortages and returns:
Returned goods will only be accepted with written authorisation by HMB. Claims for shortages or damages must be notified to HMB in writing within 7 working days of the receipt of goods.
Authorised returned stock must be in saleable condition, in the original packaging and have no price labels attached. Otherwise HMB reserve the right to charge a fee up to a maximum of 100% of the invoiced trade price of the item. Unauthorised returns will not be accepted.
Title and Risk:
Until HMB has been paid in full for all goods supplied, property in any such goods remain with HMB, although all risk passes to the customer at the time of delivery.
Win a Pair of Bud Ducks:
Competition Terms & Conditions: The winner will be entitled to two Bud Ducks, taken from the current collection. The exact prize depends on the availability at the time of winning. No purchase is necessary and no cash alternative is offered. The winner will be selected at random from all entrants who have “liked” the Half Moon Bay Facebook page and commented on the competition post. Only one entry per person will be accepted. Half Moon Bay is not responsible for any inability of the prize-winner to take up the prize. The winner will be notified by private message. Entry to the competition implies acceptance of all relevant Half Moon Bay terms and conditions by the entrants. The promoters reserve the right to amend or alter the terms of competitions. The competition closes on Sunday 27th November 2016 and is open to UK residents only.
